The farmers’ cellars were not located in large estates, but under their own homes. In September, the alleys of Cori were filled with the sweet aromas of the grape musts.
The barrels would bubble, and if you pressed your ear against the wooden doors, you could hear the murmurs of the year’s labour.
We decided to reclaim a space dear to us, which belonged to our grandparents, great-grandparents, and great-great-grandparents, and that was once an osteria and a small family cellar.
You can come and visit us and taste the products of the Madia in our little corner of the historic centre. Under the pergola of the ancient fraschetta (a tavern or inn), it is now possible to relive a lost atmosphere, which we like to evoke through small gestures.
